How great is Ariel Pink?

I can't stop listening to his whole discography!

I was trying to explain The New Sincerity to a friend of mine the other day and told her to check out Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti. I've read a lot of reviews that refer to his stuff as "joke songs" but none of them are really joke songs at all -- in fact it's more sincere than anything I've heard in a long time. I think it's all so fucking charming and catchy, and it's impressive that he stuck with his little bedroom studio and just put that shit out there for people to eat up.

Anyway I'm really diggin on Ariel Pink and I wanted to get other peoples' take on him.

Best parts are Ariel + Band playing at a space dance party (from 7:45) and a dude getting his throat ripped by a weird dino alien (from 17:05). Enjoy!
