TS - Destiny Child's "Soldier" vs. Shareefa's "Need A Boss"

Luda's got a couple good lines ("I'm your favorite rapper's idol/I been had the title/Call me hot 16 with more verses than the Bible") but Shareefa makes the fucking thing, especially the "I-I-I-I-I'll be buggin'" bit.

Has anyone else noticed this trend of songs about wanting a hustler for a boyfriend? These two, Fantasia's "Hood Boy," Ciara's "Can't Leave 'Em Alone"... it's strange. Songs like this existed before of course, but it seems to me to be becoming the standard almost. Is this a reaction to the whole "trap rap" phenomenon (Jeezy, et al.)?
