Hey Jude is perhaps most famous for its ending, repeated to the point of insanity for minutes on end. The reason it gets away with it is the fact that that bit is a particularly good'un, yet not all sections worthy of praise are given such lavish treatment. In this thread, I'd like y'all to name not a perfect 'moment' but a section that deserves to be repeated far more times than it is.

Mine is the absolutely beautiful guitar loop that pops up about 2:20 into Elbow's Bitten By The Tailfly, which could go on building for 5 minutes rather than eight bars, as far as I'm concerned.

The wordless coda to the Turtles' "Love in the City" could go on for 10 more minutes and I'd be elated. Instead it's only three reps and fade.

p.s. it's 6 bars, not eight bars. even less joy, although the section is kinda repeated later on.

The acoustic guitar intro to the Everly Brothers'"Bye Bye Love." It's extremely bluesy, and considerably rawer than the rest of the song, but once the tune actually kicks in, you never hear that riff again.

that funny noise in Kraftwerk's "Wir sind die Robot Herr"

that other funny noise in Laurie Anderson's "Walk the Dog" (joob joob ubba ubba joob joob)

"Flying Saucer" Wedding Present, could just carry on with the Velvet Underground rifferama for another 10 mins for me...

I wish the end of J Mascis & The Fog's 'Same Day' (Rain on/Rain on/Rain on/That was my life..') would just go on for at least another few minutes.

The bit of kind of synth minimal classical that occurs at the end of Wires "The 15th" could have gone on for a lot longer... indeed Wire excelled at always leaving you wanting more...

The Sha La La section of Pavement's Trigger Cut. Especially the moment when the riff kicks in again. I could listen to a box set of that.

The moment the arpeggio guitar part comes on in "Badge" always leaves me wanting more.

The craziness and screaming and nasty guitars at the end of "Buick Mackane"

I always thought that the opening lick to "Blank Generation" was one of the coolest of all time, but you never hear it again after a few repetitions. It might be for the best, but I've always wanted to hear a lot more of it.

one month passes...
I HAVE A NEW ONE, and this is definitive:

The end of Orbital's 'Out There Somewhere?' The eventual fade-out loop can continue repeating FOREVER as far as I'm concerned. Sometimes it's all the music I need.

Q & Not U - "Beautiful Beats". In the first chorus, when the huge pulsing-lights roller-disco drums kick in and the singer goes "ooh ooh oooooooh!" a couple times and then goes on to the next dinky little verse. This song deserves an extended dance remix where that part is repeated about fifty times.
