i was chatting to this one guy in a club quite late, and we were talking about 80s hip-hop, and i mentioned marley marl, and he thought i said 'melle mel', and it was too difficult to correct him so someone out there thinks i dig this shit.

"Style (Peter Gunn Theme)" from 1986 totally brings it even though it sounds a little dated.

Melle's flow on "Beat Street Breakdown" (1984) is totally classic, even though it's a total "Message" rehash.

And when my mom would play the Miami Vice soundtrack in our blue convertible back in the day, I would always get super-pumped for "Vice," so in my mind, it's super-duper classic!
