so sunday the c/o pop thing in Cologne kicks off with Pollerwiesen. On the decks are Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos and Magda. I was there last year, it was awesome.

A week later there's Mixery Dancefield with Whignomy Bros. and Dominik Eulberg.

I'm doubting to which one I should go, if you had to pick one, what would you choose and why would you choose that? I kinda love Eulbergs mixes but I've heard good things about Villalobos live as well, if he shows up at all. Last year he was a no show

Eulberg + Wighnomy sounds like more fun.

Eulberg kinda turned me off when I saw him by being a bit of a hits machine WAY too early in his set and very fluffy trance.

Wighnomy Bros for sure though, if it was a fairer fight (who else is on the bill?).

Um... Tobi Neumann and LUCIANO are on that Pollerwiesen bill also?

eulberg and wighnomy! i don't know if they'll be significantly better, but hawtin/villalobos/magda will pop up many many times in the future in that combination (this is going by the no of times they seem to play london)

The Lex (The Lex), Friday, 18 August 2006 08:48 (nineteen years ago)

grr i just remembered i can't go this sunday anyway. so its gonna be Eulberg and Whig. Bros. There's no one else on the bill

Luciano and Neumann aren't playing Pollerwiesen as far as i know

rizzx (Rizz), Friday, 18 August 2006 08:52 (nineteen years ago)

Definately Pollerwiesen.

Eulberg can be brilliant, but I think he has been a little bit off form recently, and the Whignomy's more so. At their best Whignomy's play great rolling party tunes. Its fun.

At their best Richie+Ricardo are EPIC. Luciano has been a little off form for me recently too, but is typically much better outside at a thing like DC10 or possibly c/o than in a club or a Sunday afterhours.

Or do both.

xpost - Lex, that's about a million times more often than they play _outside_ London! Andthis is Cologne so... ALL of them probably pass through at least a couple of times a year??

EinMusik

aah, didn't see that

discogs: EINMUSIK is the 'Techno Boygroup' consisting of the DJs CRANQUE and UNIQUE, together with the producer NICOL from Hamburg. The music of EINMUSIK is somewhere between Minimal Pop and bombastic Techno, without ever losing sight of what some critics might call Kitsch.

sounds good

Einmusik
Einmusik
more Einmusik

the pollerwiesen / bootshaus p.a. isnt all that powerful and the 2004 Richie & Ricardo gig was mostly boring plip-plop, so id rather go with the melodic rave-y stuff this year

ferzaffe (flezaffe), Friday, 18 August 2006 09:33 (nineteen years ago)

Yeah Einmusik are ace! Although obv I haven't seend them live.
