i am arriving tommorrow night Monday night, the 21st, and leave Saturday night. What should I do? Also, what free jazz musicians live there and what are their addresses so I can try to crash at their houses. Maybe I should also try to hit up the kid who write for Pitchfork because they live in Chicago, don't they. Maybe we can talk about that Band of Horses record.

There's this up-and-coming punk band called the Siegel-Schwall Blues Band, they're kinda like Chitown's answer to the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. You should see one of their shows. Last time I saw them, they were on the bill with Bonnie Koloc, this kind of Cat Power-ish folk singer.

herbert is DJing a free all ages show at the metro (3730 North Clark) from 6pm-10pm. If you want to avoid the 'riff raff' and are at least 21 you can pay 12 bucks to see him tonight at sonotheque, 1444 w chicago ave.
