Song ID: Gang of Four - Favourite, is this a cover?

I found a copy of the promo CD single for Gang of Four's dreadful "Cadillac". It contained a track called "Favourite" that it says is "previously unreleased, unavailable elsewhere". After listening to it, I swear I've heard the song before, specifically as a 80s new wave/pop number. I looked it up in AMG, the Covers Project, Google, Gang of Four discographies, but I couldn't find anything. I still think it's a retitled cover, because the melody and lyrics are just so damn familiar.

Here's the chorus:

"Want my favourites all at the same time/Don't Wanna work when it is play time/Want my favourites all at the same time/Don't wanna wait for it all to be mine".

Does this ring a bell?

To be honest I have been wondering what happened to good ol' Stewart of late. When ILM was down I thought about him specifically all of a sudden, dreading the idea of not hearing from him again.

Is he around, still? Am I just not here at the right times or threads to catch him?
