Have Moicy!

Upon searching Michael Hurley there doesn't seem to be a thread devoted to this great album. Bought it the other day and it's quickly become addictive. The recent Dylan thread on sound was enlightening, because I've already begun noticing all kinds of seemingly impromptu moments on this album. I don't know much about any of the people involved, but this is like Ween if they were less condescending, meaning it has some kind of authentic feel despite the easygoing nature and jokes. (Note: I like Ween, but I think that comparison works.) It seems to be regarded as a great album but not by enough people. Not sure if it should be labeled as folk, country, folk-rock, etc. Whatever niche it fits into, it's the best of its kind that I've heard. I'm sure other "Have Moicy!" fans are out there, so speak ya clout!

Classic, my favorite work of all involved except Hurley, who's done equally as good elsewhere. "Robbin' Banks," "Sweet Lucy..." Definitely a record you wanna come back to a lot. I wish I had it here right now!

Every song on this album is really damn good. It usually takes me a while to start saying that, but wow, I'm impressed. "What Made My Hamburger Disappear" puts me in the best mood.

Milius: What's the best Hurley solo album to check out?
