So, yeah, the month indie changed the world forever and ever at a triumphant all-consuming #16. Also of note: the song that got the Sugababes dropped by their label, alive Aaliyah only slightly more popular than They Might Be Giants (dead Aaliyah has the dukes there though), "I Love 2001" will surely be full of people going "Oh my god, were we really listening to the Avalanches?", and "The Way To Your Love". Discuss please.

It is songs that made the top 40 in July 2001, pulled from everyhit website. It represents what was popular music-wise among the UK public generally at that time. And this is the end of my post.
