A short-lived Australian 80s synth-pop two-piece who had a single called "Boom-box" and another one (about Audrey Hepburn, apparently) which I can't remember. Came up in a discussion of bad Australian band names but that's a whole other thread.

Apparently they were expatriate Americans, based in Sydney I think. 'Boom-box' annoyed the hell out of me at the time. My head says "Dud" but my heart is not yet quite nostalgic enough for throwaway synth-duos to say "Classic".

Nowhere near as bad as Indecent Obsession, who had no sense of humour.

I'm not sure that Vitabeat's sense of humour actually paid off but at least they were trying.

Eurgh no. Wrong decade, wrong gender, totally wrong aesthetic.

The only thing they had in common with Southern Sons was a punning name and living in Australia.
