Yes, podcasts have been discussed here before but all of the talk has been about music (or music related, like music news..) podcasts, except for some BBC recommendations. Yes I realize this is ILM (emphasis on the M) but still ...

I'm game to answer your question though the thread police are probably just around the corner: I think the BBC material is in a class of its own: 'From Our Own Correspondent' and their Documentary series are true masters of the form, and in fact I have been listening to the editing techniques used for sound pieces I am currently working on (that'll keep the doors open!). 'Touch Pod' from TouchRadio and, in particular Chris Watson's field recordings from the Galapagos Islands are fascinating.

andy rooney. andy fuckin rooney. his bits are podcast over at the 60 minutes/cbs site. it's the only podcast i go for and it's always worth it.
