it does? how's that thousand-year reich working out? yes i know, hitler was defeated with guns not guitars. it's just not a very good analogue. the article's talking about longterm change in repressive societies -- cultural change more than just political change. of course, there's a wave of increased repression in a lot of muslim countries, being forced by a radicalized generation of islamists, and there will be ebbs and flows for a long time to come. but i wouldn't bet money on the book-burners, longterm.
