I never looked into the rest of this band's repertoire, beyond the one hit, but I always did like the album cover, with the group jumping around fully clothed (but probably barefooted) in some lake, splashing water everywhere.

Yes, Tommy James wrote and produced the song. Apparently they were some bar band he found somewhere. They recorded for the same label as James, Roulette Records.

And the artist's name is on the BOTTOM. I've seen that advertised on Roulette's inner sleeves of the time, and still pause to look at it.
