Who's more alienated from the modern age? Thom Yorke on Paranoid Android or Bob Seeger on Feel Like A Number?

Both men are bummed out by consumerist culture and the dehumanization of man. But who is more bummed?

Even though it's tough to sound truly alienated with a boogie sax solo, I'm voting for Seeger. What say you?

Seger

Seger is alienated because no one on ILM can apparently spell his name

I did!

Thom Yorke is not alienated from the modern age because everyone doing 'modern' music wants to be him. Therefore he *is* the modern age.

Yeah but isn't that true of everyone alienated from the modern age since at least T. S. Eliot?

Is he as modern as New Musik?

I mean, "Living By Numbers" pwns this thread.

Someone I know (allegedly) wrote that song.

Yorke was good on the Mercury Music Prize show last week. esp. giving the audience this strange wry look before performing and then intentionally leaving his gong on stage.

He talked about that on the Radcliffe show afterwards. Said he was staring them down for talking through Zoe Rahman's performance.

Oops. Haven't had the need to spell his name since he broke up the Silver Bullit band

If only Yorke had literally had a gong.

TS: Seeger vs Seger vs Seager vs C-Grr

Bob Seeger is overrate one hit wonder with substandard Kenny Rogers/Sheena Easton cover version.
