nite flight new wave theatre question

in the 80's as part of usa network's 'nite flight' late night programming, there was a show called 'new wave theatre' that showcased whatever punk bands happened to show up at whatever club they taped the show at. i remember one performance by a group comprised of a tall baldheaded punk on synthesizer and his 6-year old or therabouts daughter on vocals. the song they did was an allegedly true story about how the girl and her friend had gone to a scott baio concert intending to give scott baio the friends beloved teddy bear. the story ended with the friend throwing her teddy bear up on stage only to have scott baio kick it thoughtlessly. the last line of the song was " scott baio when you kicked that teddy bear, you broke a heart"

question. does anybody know the name of the band and if this song was ever recorded and released?

the band was "unit 3 with venus" and the song is called "scott baio". it was definitely recorded and released, maybe on one of the rodney on the roq comps.

I think it might be on one of the New Wave Theatre VHS comps, too.
