wouldn't surprise me after the 2-CD collection (seems like a nice way to cap their "career") but even so, if true = :(. Mick seems to have repeatedly stressed their intentionally limited lifespan.

They have lasted longer than many of his projects.

The 'net is silent on the subject.

Mick always thought the Dirtbombs were only going to last a 7" but I doubt they broke up. There is nothing about it over at the Garagepunk.com forums and they are usually the first ones to announce if a garagepunk band splits. The Dirtbombs did, however, allow Wal-Mart to use one of their songs.

I'd ask Mr. Fine Wine, but he's in Spain somewhere right now.

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Wednesday, 13 September 2006 15:52 (nineteen years ago)

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Wednesday, 13 September 2006 15:58 (nineteen years ago)

OK, I talked to Fine Wine who talked to a guy who said that as of two hours ago they were still together.

The film chronicles the evolution of the Detroit garage scene from underground obscurity to more underground obscurity
