Producing using Audacity on Mac

Hey all. I use Audacity to produce music on a Mac, and I'm wondering if anyone else does this who can offer me any tips. I have a KORG PA80 for instrumentation, but my computer's really old so I can't connect the two with MIDI or whatever (I'm not really in the know on this stuff). Just looking for any experience or help - I've been trying to maximize my signal.
