such an exciting idea for a thread. anyway, there is a new grand mal album (the world demanded it!) and i just got a new album in the mail by ken griffin of rollerskate skinny. the only hardcore rollerskate skinny fans i ever knew were my friend jim, who used to be in st.johnny with bill, and these dudes in philly who were in aspera. small worlds being small worlds, after all these years of superfandom, aspera back up ken griffin on the new album. lots of ian/bunnymen moments along with the alt-rock. i haven't heard the grand mal album. the last album i heard from BW was that stonesy/glammy/guttersnipe one that wasn't half bad. the go go 90's are, um, back! maybe.

i wish i had th camera rolling on the two day jaunt i spent w them both on th STJOHNNY?ROLLERSKATESKINNY dubble bill at cbgbs and th middle east in boston..loads of isle hilaritys ensued..like when Mark Kates then A&R at geffen plopped his self down in from th coast at our table and was instantly harassed by me concerning lack of promo posters for STJNNY at th club,he therein exploded at me and screamed"I just carried Kurt Cobains casket last nite and I dont have to listen to your bullshit,,Who Are You !! anyways!!"..oh th laffs..and then everyone split to go find smack..
