I would like to know where the "Now before I finish, let me just say: I did not come here to show out..." bit is from. I was told it was Black Moon's "Stay Real", but I just listened and didn't hear it. Maybe I got a different version?

Whether it's next year, ten years, twenty years from now, I'd still like to know.

yeah 'stay real' just uses to same intrumental sample... no idea what that speech is. :/

A google search brought up one person claiming it was Sister Souljah, but the person making the claim said they weren't sure.

I always thought it sounded like it was from some Pam Grier flick or something.

Just Blaze pops up to comment on blogs and shit now and then, you could ask him, although a lot of producers don't like to divulge sample secrets.

it's definitely the same sample as stay real, which is apparently "Seed of Love" by Little Boy Blues

the speaking part Roxy is asking about is actually Just Blaze's voice. i remember hearing that and then when i actually listened to his speaking voice in interviews and it's definitely him. not sure if he's quoting or paraphrasing something someone before him or totally made it up, but it's JB. mystery solved!

its OC's "Point O Viewz," the opening of it used the same sample so when I heard it I was just like "oh they looped that OC interlude track"

I read this as "the speaking part is Roxy asking about Just Blaze"

that would be a cool song too
