my thoughts are that at $600/day for the main room i'm going to have to seriously consider electrical audio next time i record! good interview.

mango selassie (teenagequiet), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 14:25 (nineteen years ago)

The Stooges thing could be a disaster but it could rule. I'm excited.

Mr. Que (Mr.Que), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 14:25 (nineteen years ago)

Nice interview in general, I'd have to say!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 14:27 (nineteen years ago)

I like the origins of the album title

deej.. (deej..), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 14:29 (nineteen years ago)

Gotta love Albini. I'm all for an Albini-helmed Stooges album, and Shellac albums are always a wonderous thing.

Brooker Buckingham (Brooker B), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 14:30 (nineteen years ago)

i love albini so much.

M@tt He1geson: Real Name, No Gimmicks (Matt Helgeson), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 14:52 (nineteen years ago)

If you love Albini so much, why don't you just marry him?

Edward III (edward iii), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 18:16 (nineteen years ago)

Me and Steve decided that - until all gay people can freely marry - that we're not going to get engaged.

robble.

my sister got hit in the head by his guitar at a recent shellac show.

latebloomer (latebloomer), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 18:29 (nineteen years ago)

I have high hopes for the stooges thing. They've really been amazing live and going to Electrical is the smartest thing they could do. Now if only they don't let some industry wonk master it and kill the sound.

Morgan LaVigne (lumpenprole), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 18:46 (nineteen years ago)

"If you're familiar with our stuff you probably won't be surprised," Albini says. "I guess Todd has a cowbell now, so that's new."

lol

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 18:52 (nineteen years ago)

also lol @ "Edwardian carriage"

Jordan (Jordan), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 18:53 (nineteen years ago)

"The End Of Radio" is possibly my favorite Shellac song ever, so yeah, high hopes.

sleeve version 2.0 (sleeve testing), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 19:04 (nineteen years ago)

I am looking forward to the new album as well.
Did anyone here see Big Black play at the Touch and Go reunion?

Warren Cowley (dubble-u-c), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 20:32 (nineteen years ago)

i really like that "steady as she goes" song, but i guess they changed the name probably cuz of the racounteurs.

nine months pass...

I apologize if this has been posted already, but Steve has been answering questions on a message board here, and it's still going on as of now.
