"Maybe he thought he would introduce himself I would go, 'I loooooove Stereoblog.' I love it. I can’t wait until we’re best buddies. Let’s hang out and listen to, y’know, Creedence Clearwater Revival B-Sides, you know. But it sucks because he’ll always think I’m a rude guy now. The fact that he wrote it is crazy."

Yeah. When I was a pre-teen, I went through a Letterman phase and thought I discovered something special too. But then I grew up and realized talk show hosts have writers. Writers who move on.
One of Letterman's go to guys at that time was George Meyer, who left the show to head up the writing staff of the Simpsons. I outgrew Letterman and fell in love with the Simpsons for 8 years.

His Letterman fandom I thought showed that being misguided and misinformed is a problem for him on an overall basis, not limited to his writings of "thoughts about Pavement". This is why I credited George Meyer. I think we can all agree that Letterman has gone downhill since 1989 while The Simpsons became a fave for many afterwards.
My only other knowledge of Klosterman is he's Ultr@grrrl's idol, and he made a somewhat funny observational comment about tuning the violin on that Spinaltap revisited thing.

Gozer the Traveller...he will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Valdranaii, the traveller came as a large and moving Torb! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the Meketrex supplicants they chose a new form for him...that of a giant Slorr! Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slorr that day, I can tell you.
