Crossfade Challenge

The 'crossfade' function on any mp3 player is one that as a rule I leave switched-off, not wishing to interfere with the natural flow from one track to the next. However, I would like to set ILM the following challenge: to discover two songs, not necessarily by the same act, for which a certain amount of artificial crossfade creates an absolutely perfect segue. The results should make some interesting viewing...

You should increase the challenge to make it two songs that fade perfectly into each other regardless of which is played first. Then you can erase all the other songs on your iPod and keep these two on endless loop.

I don't have an iPod, only iTunes. And I'm not deleting my entire digitised music collection...perhaps a playlist will suffice?

I like the suggestion, though!

I'd say Wilco "I am trying to break your heart" to Pink Floyd "Flaming"(or vice versa possibly better), but it only works because Wilco obviously copped from that song.

Cherry Red - the Groundhogs into Children Of The Sun - Hawkwind

Band Of Susans "Ahead" (from the Wire tribute album) - My Bloody Valentine "Soon"

Elvis Telecom (Chris Barrus), Friday, 13 October 2006 15:59 (nineteen years ago)

Drugstore, "Favourite Sinner" - Mansun, "Wide Open Space"

Must be a million songs that use that two note riff.
