I like all three cosmic dancers although I have to say they still are kind of uneven. "Women of the world" has been on like three mix cds already this year though, and I love that Sabu track.

I haven't been able to find Delirious Grooves though!

That "Locomotive Breath" cover on Vol. 1 kicks ass

gaseous (gaseous), Tuesday, 10 October 2006 21:01 (nineteen years ago)

That's just the instrumental of Woman of the World, right? There's a Supreme boot with the vocal...it's an awesome vocal!

"you're playin woman of the world ...

i know. i keep getting it stuck in my head and wondering what the hell song it is.

so these are vinyl only?

are the Delerious Groove tracks that are "artist unknown" given the proper title name? so you can at least find out if you were curious or are they being obscurantist pricks?

jaxon (jaxon), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 02:41 (nineteen years ago)

I said it in the other thread, but the bassline to "Woman of the World" totally reminds me of the bridge to Taco's "Putting on the Ritz."

Michael F Gill (Michael F Gill), Wednesday, 11 October 2006 12:37 (nineteen years ago)

"Paradise Garage" is I think my favourite off the three, because it's the most straight disco thing on there. Which I guess goes to show I'm not really very beardo.

Jacob (Jacob), Thursday, 12 October 2006 03:12 (nineteen years ago)

three weeks pass...
none of this shit does anything for me. ive tried to understand the cosmic appeal and the balearic appeal to people, but its just not music made for me.

pipecock (pipecock), Tuesday, 7 November 2006 21:40 (nineteen years ago)

why not?

HUNTA-V (vahid), Tuesday, 7 November 2006 23:21 (nineteen years ago)

yeah, i can't fucking get enough. i've listened to these comps nonstop lately.

finally got around to listening to the Loda set on tropical computers. pretty, pretty, pretty good

jaxon (jaxon), Tuesday, 7 November 2006 23:56 (nineteen years ago)

there's something these cosmic dancer comps are going for that i feel is a bit different than straight cosmic stuff. the CD stuff is like rockin' electric disco or something. i totally dig it, but they're missing all the new agey stuff and slowed down italo instrumentals.

jaxon (jaxon), Wednesday, 8 November 2006 00:00 (nineteen years ago)

that Space Woman track by Venus Woman is made by the same person that did Misa Criolla (Usted), but it sounds almost identical to belle epoque's "Miss Broadway"

jaxon (jaxon), Wednesday, 8 November 2006 00:00 (nineteen years ago)

does anyone have a tracklisting for the new compost Slow Motion Disco comp coming out?

jaxon (jaxon), Wednesday, 8 November 2006 00:14 (nineteen years ago)

THere should be a CD comp of these. Tracking down those vinyl releases looks like an expensive exercise.

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Wednesday, 8 November 2006 00:24 (nineteen years ago)

xpost - nevermind, it's this one http://www.discogs.com/release/741155

i thought that was old and i just got a myspace message today saying a new one was coming out soon.

jaxon (jaxon), Wednesday, 8 November 2006 00:29 (nineteen years ago)
