Required listening for all, I think. What do you think? How does it compare to the rest of their output/their contemporaries/the current music scene? If you were in a club and this came on, would you dance? Because I SURE AS HELL WOULD.

Great act. Their eponymous single, Bombscare and Music Takes You all massive as well.

Solid gold classic tune, that.

Man, how could i not have known that 2 Bad Mice and Kaotic Chemistry were the same people? That's wild! I have such fond memories of giant old techno parties (both in SF in a warehouse and at Trade in London) where I heard "DrumTrip II" and it just blew the house down. "Bombscare" is also untouchable.

it's really, really good

Bombscare = proto-Shackleton style. Big white noise breakdowns.

okay when it segues from "Bombscare" to "The Bouncer"... YES
― I HAVE ISSUES (DJP), Monday, 23 May 2011 15:02 (fourteen years ago)
this mix is so fun
― just sayin, Monday, 23 May 2011 15:03 (fourteen years ago)
I'm so downloading this.
Kind of freakily, I mixed the Bouncer into Bombscare as the only two old skool tracks I played as part of my set on Friday - that's a bit spooky.
― broodje kroket (dog latin), Monday, 23 May 2011 15:05 (fourteen years ago)
well that's not THAT scary, those tracks were both massive and they flow pretty naturally into each other
― I HAVE ISSUES (DJP), Monday, 23 May 2011 15:14 (fourteen years ago)
Hardcore is kind of awesome in that every track flows pretty naturally into every other track, though
― 40% chill and 100% negative (Tracer Hand), Monday, 23 May 2011 15:19 (fourteen years ago)
haha fair point
― I HAVE ISSUES (DJP), Monday, 23 May 2011 15:19 (fourteen years ago)
xxpost Yeah I know, but the rest of the mix isn't hardcore stuff, I just more or less picked these two tracks par hasard, kind of "these'll do" and then two days later this comes out. Link if you care - http://soundcloud.com/doglatin/the-africa-drug-mix - last few tracks.
― broodje kroket (dog latin), Monday, 23 May 2011 15:19 (fourteen years ago)
Awww yes. Awesome. Thank you for link!
Possibly my favourite 2 Bad Mice track is "Hold It Down", which I thought I'd mention since it has no love on this thread so far. But... they're all my favourites, whenever I hear them.
(and my personal YES moment on this mix is "DJs Unite" because I hadn't heard it for so long, what a fine tune)

I keep forgetting how much I love "Space Cakes", that track is like drum perfection
