it's on 12XU records, owned by Gerard Cosley...anyway, there's an MP3 up...sounds great, give or take the kinda odd group backing vox which I expect to grow to either love or hate....this is the last songs they recorded w/Albini + a Crust Bros. live track.

...but yep, I really miss Silkworm, the whole thing w/Michael being killed was real heartbreaking for me....

And M@tt, I think we may have talked about this in another thread, but are you a fan of Bottomless Pit?

i've heard a few tracks...so far, they aren't doing much for me, but i'm still hopeful that when it comes out i'll dig it...what's yr opinion so far?

well, I know you are a Dalhquist fan, and quite frankly (and probably the obvious answer here) I find the drums for Bottomless Pit too 'polished'...i just keep expecting that big thump that never comes. The guitar work and lyrical quality is what initially hooked me with Silkworm, and so far, I have been pleased with how Bottomless has delivered. My passive attitude on the whole thing is that i will take what I can get from Midgett and Cohen.

eight years pass...

Hey this out now on vinyl from Comedy Mine One records, obviously this little record got lost in the wake of Michael's death and the start of BP, but it is one of my favorite SKWM records ("Lily White & Cherry Red" is an all time Cryptic Cohen Classic! CCC!).
