Peter Murphy's incredible studio version from Gotham, or DCD's Brenden Perry? To me, it's not even close as Peter Murphy proves again he's a vocal god with their version of the song.

The vocals on the DCD song are awesome too though!

True. Lately, I just can't get enough of the Bauhaus version though.

Hey, Ride covered this too. Let's give 'em some credit. I haven't heard the Bauhaus version, didn't know one existed. I would like to hear that.

ten months pass...

I just heard the Ride version of this. It was alright, I suppose. Bimble, have you heard the Bauhaus version yet?

I remember seeing Bauhaus at the first full reunion show in 1998 and as soon as Peter started singing this I think my jaw literally dropped. I will always remember David J's slow, calm walk around Peter M. during this song.

I can't imagine how amazing that must have been to witness, Ned.

The Gotham DVD will give you an idea, I figure. (I still don't have that for some reason! I have the CD release, though.)

No, I don't think I've heard the Bauhaus version, Mr. Van Smack. Though it's possible they did do it live in the Bauhaus reunion as Ned says and I just don't remember. I kindof doubt it, though. Not at the show I saw in D.C. circa '98 or whenever it was. I'm racking my brain but it just isn't falling out of my memory, sorry.
