It's been 1 year since Kate Bush's latest album release! My breath is bated...
Are any other fans stuck on An Architect's Dream? I just can't quite get past it. The beat, bass and strings sink in so sumptuously for me, not to mention her voice. It's strange because I thought the song was really bla when I first heard Aerial. But it's turned out to be a big grower, possibly even my favorite track on the album.
It strikes me as some kind of take on The Sensual World, with the Aerial sheen. The Latin beat initially sounded a bit corny, but it came to seem like the best idea ever. She somehow made it sound fresh, even though it isn't a new trick in town. And what is that on top - a mandolin? It touches on the strings so beautifully.
Is it just me? The first half of a A Sky of Honey won't let me go, and I don't mind!
