As Mercanerias

The two tracks I've heard (on New York Noise, no less) are brilliant and now they've got a whole Soul Jazz comp to themselves. Is it any good? I can't seem to find a decent version on Soulseek.

It's very good. I couldn't find the comp on Soulseek either, although I did find 1 of the albums it compiles on there. The comp has all the good songs from that, and a few more from a later album.

It's well worth picking up. I got mine pretty cheap as well.

Odd that they're on NY Noise, I first heard them on Sexual Life of the Savages.

I spelled the name of the band wrongly - can a mod change it to "As Mercenarias"?

And yes, I meant Sexual Lives Of Th Savages, not New York Noise.

The compilation is called The Beginning Of The End Of The World and it's on Soul Jazz. Get that.

can't get really into them
they have some songs on 2 Brazillian post-punk (also Soul Jazz) compilations but there are many better songs there
