Apparantly the track listing leaves off a ton of shit from the actual show :(

Since when did Neil Young ever do anything that didn't involve pissing his fans off in some way or other

I'm excited! And check out the cover. What a weird night that must've been. Too bad Miles didn't come out for a "Down By The River" jam.
There's no acoustic set, and no "Cinnamon Girl." But honestly, there'll probably be many many solo acoustic discs in this series and "Cinnamon Girl" is on pretty much every NY & CH live record, right? I can live without it, anyway.

Iago Galdston (Iago), Friday, 10 November 2006 17:57 (nineteen years ago)

I will say only this: 14-minute "Cowgirl In The Sand."

it's good, for sure. but it's short and it feels insubstantial compared to, say, the bootleg of the ohio date from the same tour.

It's available for pre-release streaming on Rhapsody right now.

It won't load into iTunes. New to the iPod, this is my first experience with this sorta thing. Any way around it? Burn a CD and import that?

I got it, no complaints. It is short though, 6 songs and under 45 minutes. It's a nice showcase for Danny Whitten and his playing with Young reminds me so much of Verlaine and Lloyd.

was just listening to the Fillmore East disc last night. "Cowgirl In The Sand" = BEST. The Massey Hall show is a good one, too--I hope that this is the rate these archive things willl be coming out--one every couple of months!
