Live version of Genius of Love

I used to have this wonderful live version of Genius of Love by the Tom Tom Club... I can't remember any particularly distinguishing features other that the fact that it had some guy doing a rappy kind of toasting thing in the middle (and not just gibbering James Brown, James Brown andlessly.. something much more competent)

Can anyone tell me what it is or where to get it?

There's one live version that you can stream via last.fm, although the version is credited to the Talking Heads.

xpost, maybe?

It's on the re-issued soundtrack or sorry the "Special Edition".

Nope, its defintely not the one on Stop Making Sense.... thats just lame shouting bits rather than actual rapping/toasting

I used to have a double Tom Tom Club album (Live at the Clubhouse from 2002), which I eBayed a while ago - I think your version of Genius of Love might be on it. It's one of the few tracks I ripped before I sold it but...it's on the desktop PC which is in the baby's room, so I can't check.

four years pass...

The Stop Making Sense version is just completely horrible...

Sub-frat house karaoke.
Chris Frantz, seriously shut up.
That synth setting should be named "$1 casio"

Awful, awful awfulness ugh

This is more than likely the Yella/Mr. Yellow b-side from the 12".
