"Flying Burrito Brothers guitarist 'Sneaky' Pete Kleinow died of complications of Alzheimer's disease on Saturday (January 6).

"Kleinnow, who was a founding member of the pioneering country rock group, was 72. He had been living at a nursing facility in Petaluma in California, reports Reuters."

i talked to art clokeys son about this dude when i met him earlier this summer - i had known already he wrote the gumby theme but i had no idea he put in like 10 years of work on actual tedious stop motion stuff with them too, he was like really dedicated & in love with that shit

He had us all in tears with his amazing performance and was a totally sweet low key dude.
