I really really like the new Sugababes single

And is it worth getting their album anyway? People who know!

The new single (the gary numan one) is indeed classic and, yes that first album is worth picking up. There are a load of dodgy sesion muso's on it (pino pallidino!) but on the whole it's greater than the sum of it's parts...however ther'e nothing on the album to rate with the new single. Have you noticed it's ALREADY the soundtrack to the new Rimmel advert with Kate Moss? The fact that some of the girls are still 15 makes me feel like a member of So Solid as well. Bonus.

i adore Sugababes and the first album is mostly classic. their reading of 'freak...' doesn't make me *quite* want to do dance like a loon as much as the original Rich X bootleg though, or Are Friends Electric for that matter.

and that Atomic Kitten girl just really doesn't work.
