I had wondered why Fopp was selling this, it has no sleeve art at all. (apart from a very thin sticker)

its mos's last album for geffen, and i think it was just meant to slip out and then disappear. then he got a grammy nom for the single, and the rerelease was hastily announced.

revisiting this for the first time since it was new...
...and like, what if he had just released one 12" that was just "perfect timing" with "lifetime" on the b-side? and maybe "there is a way" as an extra b-side bonus beats type cut?
because man, those last two songs are just transcendental. incredibly soulful. classic mos def.
big sigh. i'd love an investigative deep dive into what actually happened with this album.
