Can anyone out there explain what makes The Music exciting?

Saw them support The Doves. It was awful.... although the dancing of the lead singer was hysterical

the music are not exciting. i would be surprised if there is anyone here prepared to defend them. the name itself suggest "its all about the music man", yeh, right, cloud.cuckoo.land.

are the music as horrid as the coral or coral or whatever they are called? because the college station here is playing the coral and they are piss-poor. the music and the coral are the future of music are they not? according to nme.

the music... saw these chaps supporting the soft parade (or was it the other way round??). The singer was quite an active little monkey boy in an ian brown sorta way but otherwise unexceptional and unexciting... sort of cod tomorrow never knows iirc

I thought their debut single was sub-Verve tosh (and I despise the Verve). So many of these "saviours of rock" types are completely without a tune to share between them

They appear to be a straight-outta-'91-dance-plus-druggy-ethereal- rock kinda posse. Rhythm section: Happy Mondays, Guitar: obsessed with, god help us, 'effects parameters'. Singer: Once took ecstacy and now thinks he's George 'Fucking' Clinton.

Heard B-side to first single and thought it was rather good, wouldn't have paid attention otherwise due to the name. (Isn't that what Ashcroft and Liam used to constantly harp on about 'the music, it's the music man...). So I bought the 2nd single and it's...fairly crap, to be honest. Lots of hippy toshness involved.
