HELP! Who does this folk rock type song?

All right. I was listening to WFUV a few weeks ago and I was half asleep, they played a bunch of songs by this band but the one I remember was a song about the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame and there was some line about how Britney Spears can't sing.

I wasn't so crazy about that song, but I liked a different song they did that I can't remember as well so that's the best bet for identifying them.

Then again, I was half asleep, I could have dreamed this...

HELP!

who does that folky rock cover of 'running free'? it has insanely lovely drum fills and hi hat work.

were they playing a bunch of topical songs in a folk parody style?

I'm not sure but I don't think it was a parody, I think it was just this band they were playing a few different songs from.

The rock n' roll hall of fame song was definitely humorous but I thought they had more typical serious type songs too.

They had some other song about a kid who can't find the right girl, because the girls he was messing with "just didn't feel right".

Then again, there is a chance I just dreamed this...
