okay, maybe i should rephrase this to "what music do you think you could recommend that may, in your personal opinion, be it stylistically or emotionally, sound like the tune that is called 'for penny and alexis' by the dance act commonly known as the rice twins and that can be found on the compilation called "kompakt total 7" on kompakt records?"

I'd say this track is pretty similar (stylistically and emotionally) to Lawrence's stuff (try "Falling Down a Dam of Mashed Potatos" from his The Night Will Last Forever LP, "If You Can't Understand" from Absence of Blight, or the new Friday's Child 12"). Following along similar lines, try Pantha du Prince's Diamond Daze and, from what I've heard so far, his new This Bliss LP.

And this might be more of a stretch, but I think Duplex's Late Night Driving LP is a stylistic match.

I'll second the Lawrence and Pantha du Prince recommendations, and I love "For Penny and Alexis" but does it remind anyone else of the theme song from Young and the Restless?
