I know Chuck's around here sometimes so I hope he doesn't take this the wrong way. But wasn't his whole thing in Stairway To Hell that he hoped to see something like disco - metal evolve?

This dude may have a point or two.

Aren't Justice kind of electro metal?

Def Leppard + Daft Punk essentially?

Why do I care about what coke heads in Paris were dancing to last summer?

Eh, I played to that compilation that Vice is putting out. Didn't think it was horrible; didn't think it very keepable either. Also didn't notice any Def Lep. Didn't seem near as disco-metal as a few thousand other things before it. Though maybe I should listen again.

Justice's remix of "Theme From Vicarious Bliss" by Vicarious Bliss seemed almost okay, actually. But in general (while admittedly not listening super-closely) I was hearing more Pet Shop Boys than metal, I thought. (And whether the stuff was listened to by Paris cokeheads last summer is neither a plus nor a minus, as far as I'm concerned. I've never to my knowledge met any Paris cokeheads, but I'm not sure why they would by definition have bad taste.)

I guess the track I thought was most interesting in its combination of glam metal and electro was the Justice remix of Human After All by Daft Punk. And yeah, you're right there's probably a big chunk of Pet Shop Boys in there.

Cokeheads in Paris must me somehow more interesting than the cokeheads I hang out with on a daily basis.
