DJ Jesse The Body?

I have been using youtube to relive my youth and I have come across a lot of New Dance Show material. I am having a hard time believing my eyes because it is the dopest thing ever, and I can't believe that I used to watch this show after school as a kid. It is so strange to think that this music *was* the urban dance sound of Detroit and Chicago.

I am trying to find out about DJ Jesse The Body who was the DJ during the latr 80s/early 90's. He would cut up House, Acid, Electro, Miami Bass and early Detroit Techno while the dancers jacked their bodies in the finest clothes of the era.

What ever happened to this guy? He doesn't google whatsoever. I have seen some vague mentions of his death, any info would be greatly appreciated.

Here is just a small taste to show why this is the dope shit:

Go to youtube and search "New Dance Show" and you will find clips dated from 89. That clip might be as new as 1993, I don't have an exact date but it seems older.

There are clips of Preps doing their thing to Sharivari. Search "The Scene" which was the predecessor of The New Dance Show. It goes back pretty far. In fact, here it is:

This is also dope, but not entirely New Dance Show related:

after that Scene clip was making the rounds me and some folk were checking out various regional dance clips. I'm totally frustrated because my local current "scene", based around a public access show in Brooklyn called Flexx, isn't well-represented. I've seen episodes where the music is this insane Timbaland Transformers Electro Robocop sound effects stuff, like digital dancehall filled with machine gun sounds, and the guys do these crazy moves I can't even explain, while the girls do like, stepping/island stuff. I've talked about it here before I think, but I still can't find samples on youtube as good as some of the stuff I've seen on BCAT.

instead there's all these bedroom clips:

I can't believe Percolator has been out for 15 years.

Confounded (Confounded), Wednesday, 31 January 2007 06:06 (eighteen years ago)

it seems OLDER to me, if anything, because it features on so many "old school" chicago house / eclectic dance mixes

That clip is tight, Nice one Mojo!

I don't know why I always thought Percolator was from the late 80's. I have doubles and I've never bothered to check the date.
