The Quails

There appeared to be no thread, and also nothing out of this band since 2003, so I must ask: what happened to the Quails? "Atmosphere" is such an excellent album. I still listen to it a lot. I saw them open for Sleater-Kinney in 2002 and they were awesome (first I'd heard of them) and I met them afterwards briefly and they were so nice! Thoughts? At the least, I'm just curious what happened to them.

I think two of them moved from San Francisco up to Oregon and that the ones that moved to Oregon are now called The Bears or Golden Bears or something like that.

ooh I saw the Golden Bears! at yetimike's Halleluwah fest! They were good! They are also featured on the Yeti #4 book/CD.

omg they were in Circus Lupus!

We reside in Portland, Oregon where Julianna is an artist and illustrator and Seth is a writer and cook. Before that, we lived in San Francisco, where we were (perhaps still are) members of the Quails. Long, long before that, we were in other bands: the Electrolettes, Circus Lupus, Crime in Choir and many others you have likely never heard of.
