C/D That Wanderers Album That Stiv Made Prior To Lords Of New Church With The Dudes From Sham 69

i dig this record. kinda punk, kinda new wave. actually a pretty good sham/lords hybrid, come to think of it. okay, so maybe not classic, but totally not dud.

I've never really understood how and where The Wanderers fitted in timewise - I distinctly remember going along to asee a band play The Clarendon in Hammersmith in 1980, the members of which were Stiv Bators, Brian James, Dave Tregunna and Rat Scabies - so 3/4 of what became Lords Of The New Church (with Nick Turner of The Barracudas replacing Rat). They were called The Damnedeadshamband and as far as I can remember they played a few old Damned songs, a few Dead Boys ones, a couple of Sham ones and a few of covers (Electric Prunes, T-Rex....). No mention of The Wanderers in the name of the band or anything that I wasn't familiar with and which might have been a Wanderers song in the set-list - which would seem odd if Stiv and Dave were already working together as The Wanderers at the time; so where di they fit into the chronology?
