Edward III (edward iii), Friday, 9 February 2007 19:27 (eighteen years ago)

If we include songs about trains that would open up about a million songs. Are trains really public transportation though?

o. nate (onate), Friday, 9 February 2007 19:28 (eighteen years ago)

Emily Bjurnhjam (Emily Bjurnhjam), Friday, 9 February 2007 19:28 (eighteen years ago)

Didn't see "Bus Stop" by the Hollies above, but maybe I missed.

Nice to see Kriss Kross's "I Missed the Bus" mentioned. I pulled that out recently and it holds up real well.

I never thought of the Magic Bus as being public.

dylan (dylan), Friday, 9 February 2007 19:38 (eighteen years ago)

Of course we can't really characterize the mystery train.

hank (hank s), Friday, 9 February 2007 20:06 (eighteen years ago)

Monorails are okay, I guess, as long as they are publicly owned and operated.

o. nate (onate), Friday, 9 February 2007 20:08 (eighteen years ago)

this is easily the best song about monorails...

Once on the radio, many many years ago, I heard a song called (possibly) "People Mover," where the one guy yelps stuff like "Wait! Stop!" and the band goes "People mover!" At one point he definitely says "Step away from the door!" and maybe "Car full, escalator!" It's all kind of a blur now but I have never had the slightest luck figuring out what song that was. Clues?
