Intriguing jazz dude I never heard of until the Times profile last week has started a Shaggs cover band project. Bad idea or too good to be true?

OK, I just went to the myspace page and didn't like it at all, all sorts of jokey musical old-timeyisms. Not a good look, i'm afraid.
