a new and great direction in folkie, melodic chamber pop?
or another hyped type pitchfork musician who is lucky that those freak-folk stars like him?

He is unlikely to wrest the folkie, melodic chamber pop crown from Joey Dee and the Starliters.

He's good, but I think I will just listen to Cass McCombs. Don't really understand why everyone says he sounds like Vetiver.

I couldn't make it all the way through the pitchfork review

perhaps he should be compared with elvis perkins who is reviewed on stylus

listening to the myspace songs now: http://www.myspace.com/thepapercuts

so far, so nice. but it sounds kinda like akron/family is to animal collective, this is to grizzly bear. a cheap imitation. eh, i'm probably going to buy it anyways.

Has anyone heard the new 'un? I'm willing it to be great but no one seems to be saying so.

"Still Knocking At The Door" from the new album is a great tune. First song by Quever to really cut through his hazy style for me.

Let me send a signal out into the dark, not to be seen by anyone: Papercuts' album Parallel Universe Blues from last year is in my top five from last year. I'm a sucker for 60s-psychedelia-sounding albums, though.
