seriously, it sounds better than a cd should. according to the notes, they just made a copy from the master tapes and didn't do anything extra to them. no re-mastering or making them glossy and digital shiny. just sounds sooooo cool. first time on cd too! they were kind enough to send me a copy and i'm much obliged. it's a limited release that they are doing themselves, so maybe that's a little sad? lotsa people should hear them. you know? anyway, you can get it from their website if you are a fan: http://www.comateens.com/

and NO, i am not on the comateens street team. just a fan.

cool. I loved this band. fun fact: Comateens played in the lobby at Irving Plaza during the infamous No Wave show in the late 70s where James Chance brawled w/teh audience etc.

they were one of the few US groups who survived and thrived in the synth pop era.

That '83 video is not on youtube anymore because of the Viacom thing.

two years pass...

Scott (or anyone else who cares) -- four songs live in 1982 were recently posted to youtube by the band. The audience, especially, is an 80s time capsule. The low number of views and lack of comments is kinda sad.

The songs: One By One, Nightmare, Munsters, and She's Not There.
