Basically, it's damn near totally amazing.

Yes, vol 1 has too much "This was funny when this happened" and "Oh this is historic" but by Volume five it's all "wow"

So far, I've played Vols 5, 6, 1 and a bit into 2.

More later!

I bought them as they came out which gave me much more time to absorb them individually. I pulled them all apart on my MP3 player (despite the occasional cross-fade - agh!) and pull up the new vocal tracks frequently. "Sonic Boom" on one of the new volumes just KILLS. There's at least a double-CD worth of gems scattered across these, and if you're an XTC fanatic like me it's great to get the stuff from _Oranges & Lemons_ and _Nonsuch_ with much less production.

Of course, you realize, there's stuff that was still left off even these. Colin's demos have some good bits in them too - "Car Out Of Control", "Raising A Family In A House Full Of Mice", "Spare A Penny".

Did Geir see this? It would be his thing, definitely...

Does anyone know if everything that was on (fan club-only, cassette-only albums) Jules Verne's Sketchbook and The Bull with the Golden Guts has now been included somewhere in the Fuzzy Warbles collection?

I know some bits have been included but I'm too lazy to dig the tapes out and check for myself.

Some of it, certainly. You have some of these? Blimey, I'd say "Hey copy me some" but I've just gotten ten damn CDs worth of bits, seems a bit... enough already.

Plus, I've d/led the Prefects, the Lurkers and a Kurt Schwitters to get through yet!

I used to have a fair bit of rare XTC stuff, but what with Coat Of Many Cupboards and now Fuzzy Warbles most of it isn't anything like as rare any more.

I noticed the box, and I guess I will try to invest in it, as I haven't gotten round to invest in any of the "Fuzzy Warbles" CDs.

I miss Colin Moulding though :(

The Fuzzy Warbles series includes all of _The Bull With The Golden Guts_ and _Jules Verne's Sketchbook_ except "Dripping Basin" and "Glow". And they sound much better on FW.

seven months pass...

"Raising A Family In A House Full Of Mice"

God I love that song for some reason.

Colin has his own life and his decisions are his own business and I respect his privacy and his prerogative to that but on a purely visceral level he's a shit for not releasing more of his own demos. At least 'Didn't Hurt a Bit' got a release before he built his wanky fucking cocoon.

No that I'm bitter or STARVED or anything.
