Ne-Yo said he wrote a few songs with her... Clive Davis is putting a lot behind the album so he's not going to relaease it until he feels it's up to par... it should be out around this time next year I think (just a guess).

News:

- Whitney will definately attend Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy Party this Saturday, and will also perform.

- She will be arriving in L.A. on Thursday to rehearse for the Grammy party.

- She recorded 15 songs already but is going to record a few more so they have more song selections to choose from which will be finalized for the album.

- She's been re-recording a lot of songs in a higher register since she's been working on improving her voice. This is why they keep pushing the album back, because she's been re-recording a lot.

- She recorded a killer ballad with David Foster called "You Chose To Lose" as well as the R. Kelly ballad called "I Look To You."

- They hope to have the first single out no later than the end of March.

- She will definitely do a big interview with either Oprah or Diane Sawyer to discuss EVERYTHING.

I always hope she will come back triumphantly, partly because in 1985 on a Portland streetcorner I overheard two guys talking about how impressed they were with her debut and it made me really happy to hear people talking enthusiastically about music because I was very lonesome at the time, and now when I remember overhearing that exchange & my reaction, I get the sentimental feeling of a time long since passed. So, my reasons for wishing her well are narcissistic, but sincere. Get well soon Whitney!

Her voice is incredibly uncomfortable to listen to now.

as an unashamed lover of trainwreck pop and "interesting" failures, I look forward to this as a bruised, broken half-hearted comeback. Sometimes watching old videos of her dancing on youtube makes me really sad. Seeing how young and talented she was and knowing the terrible places she's been since.
