I have [Removed Illegal Link], which is awesome and I'm putting it in a mix, but that's all I know about her. There's a Best of Connie comp online. Is it worth purchasing? or was she just a one track wonder? I can't currently hear the sound samples and I can't find anything on her but a low quality youtube vid.

Pappawheelie to thread.
She's vaguely related to Trinere and Debbie Deb and I think she has something to do with Connie Case. All those are produced by Amos Larkin III, he's the guy responsible for that great bubblegum synthdisco sound. Get hold of everything you can by all those I just listed, some amazing tracks in there, even better than 'Rock Me'. You're in for a treat.
Then after that there's a whole world of Latin Freestyle to enter, look out for Freeez, Alisha, Jenny Burton, Shannon, Company B, Cover Girls, Stacey Lattisaw, etc. If you sign up to Demonoid.com you'll find a couple of torrents containing hundreds of Latin Freestyle songs. Also, search ILX for Amos Larkin, there are a couple of interesting threads about him and his girlz.

As for your question, I'm not sure about a Best Of Connie - what's the tracklist? Your best bet is to buy the excellent Debbie Deb album and hunt for compilations with Trinere and Connie on. Or just download them all from Soulseek.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if she was Connie Case, or just relative to the name because I saw mentions of Case alongside "Rock Me" in some places, but the correlation was not clear.
Amazing, I will definitely look up those artists as well as Amos Larkin. He had his own wiki, but not Connie, so that's a helpful arrow / dot connector.
Thanks!
This is the tracklist from CD universe
http://www.cduniverse.com/search/xx/music/pid/5325384/a/Best+Of+Connie.htm:
1. Power Of Love, The
2. Spinning
3. Feel The Beat
4. Funky Little Beat
5. How Can We Be Wrong
6. Rock Me
7. Experience
8. All Night
9. When I Hear Music
10. Your Eyes
11. Look Out Weekend
12. Funky Little Beat 2.0 - (club mix)
13. Funky Little Beat 2.0 - (radio mix)
I can hear the sound samples now, but the "Rock Me" sounds like a different version than the one I have, so I have no clue what record the version I have is from.
It sounds more like the one of the clip on youtube:

Oh man I forgot about 'Experience' - that song is stunning! Slower than the others but absolutely gorgeous. Other good ones on that album:
Feel The Beat
Rock Me
All Night
When I Hear Music
Lookout Weekend
But I'm sure all those songs have been done by Debbie Deb or Trinere. On one of the old ILX threads someone suggested that they're all the same girl anyway (or that Debbie Deb is actually a bunch of different people). If that album is cheap then definitely get it, it's worth it for those 3 or 4 songs. But really, hunt out some Trinere and other Amos Larkin stuff on p2p. And thanks for reminding me how much I love this stuff!
