How come all the Allyzay-loving old-ILMers aren't gushing over Mylène Farmer?

...cuz she's basically Allizay's puppet-master. Check out 'Maman a tort'.

Hmmm, been spending too much time here... That should be Alizée.

good job, dude. anyway it was only Spencer and me gushing over alizee and trust me, we are both extremely familiar with Mlle. Farmer's work.

tho yeah, i'm gonna have to agree with you that "maman a tort" is her best song.

I love Mylene! Her last album didn't really have anything super catchy on it though.

Spencer Chow, Thursday, 1 March 2007 22:50 (eighteen years ago)

"Sans contrefaçon" is my favorite track, with "Maman a tort" a very close second.

Spencer Chow, Thursday, 1 March 2007 22:52 (eighteen years ago)

search also: "Pourvu qu'elles soient douces" and "Sans Logique"

baaderonixx, Thursday, 1 March 2007 22:54 (eighteen years ago)

It's all good.

So what's up with this euro-trance cover of 'Désenchantée' by some UK nobody??

baaderonixx, Wednesday, 7 March 2007 11:44 (eighteen years ago)

Kate Ryan? Or someone else?

Groke, Wednesday, 7 March 2007 11:50 (eighteen years ago)

Yes - is it old? I keep hearing it.

baaderonixx, Wednesday, 7 March 2007 11:52 (eighteen years ago)

Mostly because we've already done her:

Yeah it's three or four years old. She did a cover of "Libertine" too, and quite probably some others by Farmer.

She's not UK, by the way, despite the name - Belgian, I think she may have been a reality TV contestant.

Groke, Wednesday, 7 March 2007 12:03 (eighteen years ago)

Aha - that explains the lack of accent and why I hear it so often here in... Belgium...

baaderonixx, Wednesday, 7 March 2007 12:04 (eighteen years ago)

That cover of Libertine = classic.
