Momus Re-issues?

So I heard a rumour that there's a whole whack of older Momus albums being reissued, including (apparently Tender Pervert). I've had very little luck finding this one on CD over the last year and a half, and one is up on ebay, but I won't bid a bundle on it if it's going to be reissued anyhow. Can anyone confirm or deny? Momus?

I realized after posting that this one will surely end up in the Momus Momus Momus category. Another thing which can be shortened to MMM is Metal Machine Music, which led me to wonder just what Metal Machine Momus would sound like. Hm.

On the issue of Momus records, I had never before seen a copy of "Don't Stop The Night" until about two months ago, and since then I've seen about 4 copies in secondhand stores. Mass Momus selloff? Or just coincidence?

Momus to McGee, July 16th 2001

Hi Alan,

signing with Sony on the publising. Thanks for the help, anyway.

Someone just posted this news to alt.fan.momus:

'Incidentally, two box sets of the Creation years are being readied right now. One being Poison Boyfriend/Tender Pervert/Don't Stop The Night and two, Hippopotamomus/Voyager/Timelord packaged as follows:

1. (Disregard My Appearance On) The Blacklist

2. (I Don't Think) I'm Sorry'

Is that true?

Nick

I've been asking this same ? for years... And after many days, ebay bids and searches all over the net, I finally have every single MOMUS cd... even The Happy Family. It was worth the wait..... It's such a shame that CREATION recordings are not re-released... I would love to get my hands on House Of Love, Jasmine Minks (Another Age / Scratch The Surface), Emily, Razorcuts, and more....

Look at indie-online record stores... Rockhouse had "Don't Stop The Night" brand new.... Ebay has the deleted version of "Hipppopotamomus" for 60 bucks!!! Finally, I got it for $25 because of timing I guess... Also.. look in the used section of your good record stores.. I found THE HAPPY FAMILY cd "The Man On Your Street" for 3 bucks!!! and it was in perfect condition.

Todd -- there was a House of Love compilation released last year on PLR called 1986-88: The Creation Recordings.

I managed to find all of Momus' back catalogue (save for "Monsters of Love" and the deleted version of "Hippopotamomus") at HMV and Virgin Megastore in London a few years back. You might also try GEMM.com,

http://www5.gemm.com/c/search.pl?sid=10325525&key=13390&field=ARTIST+OR+TITLE&wild=momus,

as this search yielded at least two copies of TP, although one was mistitled I believe. I also found "Monsters of Love" . . . hmmm . . .

Who else thinks that _Apparently Tender Pervert_ is a better album title than _Tender Pervert_?

Dan Perry, Thursday, 11 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Whoops, the bracket was supposed to go after "apparently", not after "Pervert". Maybe we could get Momus to do a dual a-sided single with "Apparently Tender Pervert" on one side and "Metal Machine Momus" on the other.

Dunno why if not. I only just found out.

All six Creation albums, *completely free* to download as the records 'paid for themselves' years back he says.
