Buddy Miles S&D

I had been really curious about some of Buddy Miles records, especially his first one Expressway to your Skull because I read that Jim McCarty of Cactus was the guitarist in his band at that point. I took the plunge and got the first one and Them Changes and these are some fine funky fuzzy rock and roll. I then picked up a compilation of Electric Flag called Old Glory and that is also pretty good, especially the tracks off their first album when Bloomfield was in the band.

I'm really curious about some of Buddy Miles other records especially Electric Church, but it looks like pretty much most of his catalog has never really come out on CD and I bet they are pretty hard to find and probably expensive on vinyl.

What else of Buddy Miles catalog is worth hearing? Anyone ever heard the couple of records he made with Bill Laswell in the early 90s?

Search: Them Changes, "With Carlos Santana" and (personal fave) Expressway to Your Skull

I didn't really like Miles Away from Home much at all, but I thought "To Hell and Back" was serviceable.

thirteen years pass...

It seems rather peculiar that these three Buddy Miles records have never made it to CD and at least so far not officially up for streaming/download. Got to figure it's possible the tapes were long gone or definitely are after that big warehouse fire.

We Got to Live Together – Mercury SR-61313 (1970)
A Message to the People – Mercury SRM-1-608 (1971)
Buddy Miles Live – Mercury SRM-2-7500 [2LP] (1971)

Anyone have any scoop? Legal/ownership issues? Got to think just with the Hendrix connection, there would have been some interest at some point.

four years pass...

All three were of those Buddy Miles albums came out on CD on those album comp collections. They are not bad.
